OFFICIAL UAA STATEMENT ON ALLEGED MMTC / CAMP URBAN ZONE SNATCHING

This is an Official UAA statement in reply to the post regarding the alleged game Site Snatching by Sykes and UAA.

As a matter of policy, UAA does not run game sites. We normally leave this to the member teams who are more equipped and capable of handling the weekly games at sites.

MMTC has been an accredited UAA site since it was handled by Specwar back in 2004. Sometime in 2006, the site closed down due to construction issues by the owner of the compound. Between 2005 to its closure, UAA held a number of official activities at MMTC including our Christmas parties in 2005 and 2006 and Inter Call Center Tourny 1. These were done with permission from SPECWAR, which was a founding member of UAA.

During this time, Fallujah, Sykes, Sonwar, and Dermonic, who were UAA stalwarts, played on an individual basis at MMTC. When SPECWAR disbanded and MMTC closed in 2006 the squad went on their own ways: Fallujah went to MFR, Sykes and Dermonic Team IRA-Northern, and Sonwar remained a lonewolf.

Sometime in July 2008 Team IRA split up, and the group of Sykes re-emerged as Team mate ("The incredible mask"). Sykes was able to get the MMTC site and Team mate hosted the site. Since Sykes was UAA and a close friend, upon his request with the blessings of the Team Mate, MMTC (now re-named Camp Urban Zone) was accredited as a UAA site. UAA thus placed it's tarpulin banner and logo up at the site along with other resident playing teams. In the meantime, Fallujah, Sonwar, Dermonic, and other UAA members returned to MMTC to play and support Team Mate and Sykes.

From October 2008 onwards, due to work and professional commitments, we seldom played at MMTC. It was in March 2009 that we later learned that Sykes was no longer in charge of MMTC, instead some other members of Team Mate took over the management. Since this was an internal problem, UAA did not interfere. Instead we let the team sort out its own problems.

In the interim period, we were hearing numerous complaints against Camp Urban Zone regarding the detriorating quality of players being allowed to play there and the increasing number of incidents of injuries involving unethical players. Alarmed, UAA chose not to interfere in deference to the the authority of the host team to resolve its own site issues.

A few weeks ago we were called by Sykes that MMTC was already closed and that the site was up for bidding. He cited several problems that the host team allegedly had with the management of the compound, particularly money problems. He said that he was interested in the site and asked for our support. Since he was a good friend, we replied that yes we would support him provided that his acquisition of the site was legal and in conformity with the approval of the site manager.

That was the last we heard. Until we were informed of the post about this issue in FAS.

This is clearly an internal problem of Team Mate. Being a UAA affiliate, it should have availed of the UAA grievance procedure, and exhausted all issues there first, before hurling accusations against UAA and Sykes in public. No one from Team Mate ever brought anything about this issue to the attention of UAA - which had nothing to do with the issue. Instead a malicious, derogatory, and misleading post was immediately posted on FAS and other boards against UAA.

If Team Mate's contract had already been terminated by the compound manager due to internal squabbles, that is none of the business of UAA. Our organization should not be dragged into that problem. If the site is truly closed, as it is, then we believe that anyone else should have the right to bid for the site. Either way, we reiterate that it is none of our business. Neither is it the business of Team Mate what individual members of UAA would do on their own. And neither is it the business of Team Mate whom UAA would choose as its friends or whom to support in projects. It is a basic precept within UAA that members are free to decide and do what they want, since UAA is a non-governing organization.

To reiterate, UAA has not cast any bid for MMTC, a.k.a Camp Urban Zone.

If anything, the person or group which posted this defamatory remark owes UAA an apology for the false information given. We can only assume that the motive for making such post could only come from Team Mate or one of their supporters since they stand to benefit from it. In which case we shall wait for an apology with 72 hours. Thereafter, we shall be constrained to take action.

We trust that we have our stand on this matter perfectly clear.

Initial Review of the TM M3 Benelli super 90

This is going to be an Initial Review of the TM M3 Benelli super 90

I just bought my TM M3 super 90 a while ago, and i was amazed by its length, it is as long as my old m16 rifle. next thing i was surprised with was how hard it was to cock... i almost couldnt cock it all the way the first time i tried... until now, i cant shoot more than three shots without my hands starting to sweat... good thing TM provides a small rubber strip sticker that you can place on the pump handle, it helps... sort of...

The power is amazing. 300 fps may not sound like much, but it is when you realize that there are THREE Bbs in a shot EACH having 300 fps and EACH having hopup. Some websites in other countries even claim that the TM shotgun range is actually a 3 shot sniper rifle... It's THAT accurate. most of the time, the shots are grouped very nicely together in a small triangle, care of the 3 individual hop up systems and 3 individual barrels. That makes cocking the gun so hard, 3 barrels, 3 springs. argh.... ang hirap tlga... this'll get some time to get used to. The gun is really really long... as mentioned before... and its very loud (kasi 3 shots at once) so its really... really menacing sa field kasi ang haba nya and ang dami mong shotgun shells na nakasabit sa sling o sa vest mo.

The magazine system of the TM shotgun series is notably different from other shotguns. Each shell holds 30 BBs. The shells serve as the magazines of the gun. Each tym you cock, 3 bbs are chambered and when you fire, 3 BBs are shot. so a shell will give you around 10 shots to work with before you need to replace the shell. hence, the need for more shells.

Externally, it is made mostly of ABS plastic, but has a nice heft to it, not too heavy, not too short. ganda nga ng weight distribution e... im impressed.. the power is great... just right for CQB... but the best part is...

Its the BEST backup weapon.
Think about it:
-Stingy on the BBs.
-Less moving parts.
-Shells are relatively inexpensive (SRP of shells is 900 per pack of 3, bali 300 per 10 shot, 30 BB shell)
-Almost no maintenance. (unless really abused, nothing should break.)
-TM Hop quality (multiplied by 3).
-No batteries to charge.
-No Gas to buy.
-Just load, cock and rock!... ganda tlga
